Mixing a simple shape with a pop of pattern is a fun way to create a birthday card. I am loving these Stitched Triangle Dies and this card was so fun to make with these triangles front and center. Inspired by Patoupassions, I made this Coastal Cabana card with pops of pattern from the Playing with Patterns Designer Series Paper pack. Some added dimension and script birthday is a great combo for a not so childish birthday card!

My biggest tip for making this card – CUT MORE THAN YOU THINK YOU’LL NEED. I did the best to plan out and lay out my triangles to guess the number that I would need and I found that it was just easier to cut a bunch of triangles from my 3 papers and then work on the layout. I also added dimensionals behind some of my triangles to help add some depth to this card and some playfulness. Once you have an idea of what you’ll use, start adhering to your card, not worrying about the overhang until you are done with your layout. You can trim using your paper snips.

To make my sentiment, I used the Foam Adhesive Sheets on the back of my cardstock BEFORE running through my Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine. This is a fun way to add raised letters without giving yourself a headache. I went a little wild with the types of adhesives used on this card but I needed every one! 😉
** Helpful Hint: to help get the centers out of your words, use your Silicone Mat and Take Your Pick Tool, this will help get those pesky, sticky centers out easier & won’t ruin your work space or your card **
Product ListAnd that’s it! This fun, playful card is complete and ready to give away. You can change up the DSP with what you have on hand but this set is kid and teen friendly! Happy Stamping, Friends! Jackie
