Darling Donkeys

Darling Donkeys is just that- an adorable set of sweet Donkeys and sentiments. This stamp set is one of the sets you can EARN during Sale-A-Bration going on NOW through February 28th. For more details about SAB check out our blog post here.

This card was one of my January Club cards for my team- CASED by Laura Mackie UK. We used a great technique using the Simply Scored board. We scored our layer of Whisper White at 1/4″ on all sides to give a little boarder and texture.

I kept the rest of the card simple with my donkey off to the right side and balanced it out with the sentiment on the left. This will allow my donkey to be the star of the card.

To give him some life and color, I used my Stampin’ Blends in Smoky Slate, Old Olive, Real Red and Petal Pink for his ears. I also used my Color Lifter down the donkey’s nose to lighten it. Don’t forget to use your Memento Tuxedo Black ink when working with your blends, this will prevent your stamped lines from bleeding when you color.
