Prized Peony Suite

I spent a good part of my day playing and having fun with the Prized Peony Stamp set and dies. I do believe that this suite is my new favorite item from the 2020-2021 catalog. Let me know if it’s yours too by the time you’re done reading.

For the top left peony card, I used Petal Pink Blends to color vellum. Top right, I used Gray Granite blends on just the two larger pieces of vellum for the peony. I shared a video on my Stamp4JoyToo Facebook page showing how I made the Gray Granite Card above, including several tips and tricks for using these dies.

For the lower card, I used the card on page 102 of our annual catalog as inspiration. I cut Purple Posy Cardstock, then careful crumpled it into a ball to give it texture and wrinkles. Then carefully unfolded it and assembled it into the flower. The background is from the Pattern Play stamp set, also on page 102.

Though it doesn’t look like it, this card was super quick and easy to make. Those are my favorite kinds of cards. You know the ones I mean, the kind of card that is so elegant it makes you say “Wow!!”, and leads the recipient to believe you slaved over it like Thanksgiving dinner, but turns out you made it in just minutes.
