Painted Poppies is such a versatile flower set from the new 2020 Mini Catalog. I CASED this card from Narelle Farrugia where she paired the Painted Poppies stamp set with the Peaceful Moments to create a simple but beautiful thank you card. I love layering with whisper white. There is something about it that is so clean and simple, yet has an elegant touch. This card does feature fussy cut elements, a sponge technique & some rhinestones.
Start with a whisper white layer (4″ x 5 1/4″). Add the splatter stamps from the Painted Poppies set in the Memento Tuxedo Black. Using a sponge in the color Pool Party, you will add some light sponging to the lower corner of your layer.
On a separate piece of whisper white, you’ll want to stamp your Poppy and the leaves also from the Painted Poppies and stamp them in the Memento black ink. When using the blends you’ll want to make sure you are using Memento ink to avoid having your ink lines run and bleed. I used a little Pool Party on the center of the Poppy and colored the leaves using Gray Granite blends combo. I then used my paper snips and cut these out and arranged on my card.
On a small piece of Whisper White cardstock , stamp your sentiment. I chose Thank You from Peaceful Moments. After assembling all of the layers, I added a few rhinestones for a little bling and sparkle. Finally attach your layer onto your Whisper White card base. Card finished!
